How is it already time to think about swimsuits??  I feel like I’ve only just begun to wear my cozy sweaters and stretchy pants this season- some of them don’t even have any permanent stains yet!!

But the calendar doesn’t lie, which means it’s May.  Summer is right around the corner, and I’m gonna need a couple of workout shortcuts.

I tried one last summer that I swear was actually helpful!!  A group of my girlfriends attempted a 28 day 4-minute plank challenge.  I’m always more likely to stick to my workout goals if I’m doing them with friends- so let’s do it together again this year!   (It also doesn’t hurt that it’s literally only a couple of minutes a day, and I actually saw results by the end!).

For those unfamiliar, a plank is a lot like a pushup.  Instead of using your arms to move your body up and down, though, you just rest your elbows on the ground and keep the rest of your body (shoulders to toes) as flat as possible.  Easy Peasy!!  (Except it’s Totally not).

The workout schedule looks like this:

Basically, just one solid plank each day that gradually grows in length throughout the month.  Add a few rest days thrown in for good measure, and you’re ready to rock a bikini!  Or a kimono coverup and a frozen cocktail at the very least. . .

I’m going to start on May 1 and would love to have friends join me!!  Comment below if you will- I’d love to hear how it’s going!!
