One of my absolute favorite trends this season is the Metallic Flat. They’re a little bit casual, a little bit dressy and a perfect accent to whatever you have on: Dresses, skinny jeans, shorts or jorts. (Yes, I love jorts). I have to make certain that I don’t wear the same pair every single day! I’ve cultivated a rather large collection of flats and slides from Yosi Samra: gold, silver, nude, black fur, black leather. But I also have a fantastic multi-colored embossed leather pair from Steve Madden. My theory on colorful shoes and handbags has always been that if it matches nothing, then it goes with everything.

Below are a few of my favorites from steal to splurge.

Giuseppe Vanotti Embossed Metallic Flats – (On sale for $30!) These are a GRAB NOW!!! Click the link and throw them in your cart without a second thought. Cute, faux animal and I’d imagine quite comfortable being a Giuseppe Vanotti.

Malone Souliers Maureen Flats (Splurge for $545) Mother May I? These are everything. I’ll send anyone my address that would like to buy them for me. Multi-tone, pointy toe, slide. There’s a million reasons why these are fabulous.

Charlotte Olympia Multicolor Kitty Flats (On Sale for $383) Yes, they’re on sale for just over $300, but if it’s in your wheelhouse then get it. The rainbow effect on these flats is fabulous and quite festive considering it’s Pride Month. However, they fit perfectly into my philosophy of matching nothing and going with everything.

Sam Edelman “Carrin” Espadrille in Sequins ($89.95) The espadrille is a little variation on the flat. It’s not a heel, because technically they are flat across, but it is a platform. Also a great trend. The sequins on this give that fun and kitchy metallic vibe. Are they dressy? Are they casual? Or are they just fantastic?

Naturalizer “Gisella” Loafer in Pewter ($69.95) This brand is comfy. All day office wear kind of comfy. Grab the kids, run a million errands, walk a few miles comfy. And loafers are another obsession of mine. A pewter loafer is just icing on the proverbial cake.

I highly suggest snagging a pair from above or finding your own choice. But definitely. It’s a trend, but it isn’t going away anytime soon.

Cheers,
Jana
